I’m a writer and editor based in Montclair, New Jersey. I focus on interior design and housekeeping, but what I love about my job is I get to become an expert in something new practically every day. I’m a former editor at House Beautiful, Martha Stewart Living and Weddings (where I edited the iconic Good Things section), O, The Oprah Magazine, ELLE, and Aviation Week & Space Technology, and my work has been published in many more publications, including Apartment Therapy, New York, Allure, Brides, Refinery29, BBC Travel, and Popular Mechanics.

I’ve got hands-on experience too. My love for design comes from my parents, whose side hustle still is building houses. When they weren’t doing their full-time jobs, they were scouting out a new property to build on. We’d live in a house while we finished it, sell it, and then repeat. It was our long-term family DIY project. They always let me choose the paint and wallpaper for my room. Now I’m building my skills by taking classes at Parsons and tackling the (endless) renovation of my family’s 1907 Craftsman Tudor, for which we won a historic preservation award in 2022.
